Gianni is a well-recognised face in the Jersey hospitality industry having previously owned his one restaurant La Barca for 19 years. Now joint managing The Beach House, he hopes to attract his previous loyal customers whilst injecting his great experience into the beachside restaurant.
Gianni was born in Italy and has worked around the globe. He spent six years on a cruise liner in America as a food buyer and then three years as a chef in Switzerland before making his home in Jersey.
In his spare time he enjoys golf, motor racing and spending time with his family. He is married to Christine and has a seven-year-old son called Luca.
Gianni says:
“I loved running La Barca and appreciate the loyalty of all my customers but I was ready for a new challenge. The Beach House is a fantastic restaurant in an enviable location and as I know everyone in the parish so well it was the perfect choice for me. I will be bringing the ethos of personal service and knowing your customer to the restaurant. We are launching a brand new menu using an abundance of local seafood and I’m very excited to be part of the new management team.”

Susie comes to The Beach House with over 25 years of experience in the restaurant business.
She is previously known in the island as the welcoming hostess of North Point Bistro, The Salty Dog and Zanzibar.
Her experience also extends further afield having worked in America, lived as a nanny in Australia, and worked in a Kibbutz in Isreal.
In her spare time she enjoys walking and spending time with her two children Pia (15) and Toby (18).
Susie says:
“I am thrilled to be working at The Beach House. The restaurant and bar have great potential – it’s all about summer dining, cocktails on the terrace, long leisurely lunches and functions, all in a relaxed environment. I’m looking forward to welcoming customers old and new.”

John trained in London and has worked in the industry for over 25 years. He began his working career on the fishing boats pulling up lobster pots, which cemented his passion for fresh fish and shellfish.
John is dedicated to Jersey cuisine and has worked in an array of quality island restaurants such as Salty Dog, Village Bistro, and the Old Court House. He came to The Boat House Group after working at St Ouen’s eatery El Tico.
In his spare time John enjoys fishing and surfing – some of which he can do from the bay in front of The Beach House restaurant.
John is married to Lyn and they have a 9-year-old son called Reece.
John says:
“I originally came to Jersey for the season but like many before me I didn’t want to leave. I love the outdoor lifestyle here and I will be injecting the best of Jersey into the menus at The Beach House. This restaurant is blessed with amazing coastal views so I hope people will come and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and tides as well as the food.”
